Texas Children’s Hospital is nationally ranked among the nation’s top 2 children’s hospitals for 2022-23 by U.S News & World Report and is the largest children’s hospital system in the nation.  The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine currently employs over 95 Pediatric Anesthesiologists and many of whom have additional training and board certifications in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric CV Anesthesiology, Obstetric Anesthesiology, or Pain Medicine. Completing more than 50,000 anesthetics annually in more than 70 anesthetizing locations, the demand for our ever-growing service is on the rise.  Recruitment efforts for additional Pediatric Anesthesiology physician faculty are underway to support significant growth in the TCH system, including in Houston, and our newest North Austin Campus location. We are a team of talented, highly motivated individuals, all with ACGME Pediatric Anesthesiology fellowship training and Pediatric Anesthesiology Board Certification that is continuing to grow.  Our Department offers additional fellowship training in the newly ACGME accredited Pediatric Cardiovascular Anesthesiology fellowship. Faculty are employed by Baylor College of Medicine, have academic appointments in the Department of Anesthesiology at TCH, and report up through the Anesthesiologist-in-Chief at TCH. The Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease is a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. Our mission is to redesign the care of patients and families with congenital heart disease by developing a model system of health delivery that is integrated, holistic, patient-centered, value-oriented and technology-driven.
