Nationally ranked for heart care and surgery by U.S. News and World Report, the Heart Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado sees one of the highest volumes of patients from across the country. Their expansive team of over ninety pediatric cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and advanced practice providers supports patients from prenatal diagnosis through delivery, surgery and beyond. As the largest and only pediatric cardiac surgery program in the region, the center performs over 750 surgeries annually with consistent outcomes that outperform national benchmarks. With over ten million dollars in external grant funding, the center is one of only eight stand-alone pediatric heart research centers in the country and publishes 200+ publications each year. Team members are a part of various consortiums, including the Pediatric Heart Network — paving the way for future breakthroughs.
