Bio

Dr. Shah is Professor of Radiology at the University of Utah and serves as the director of Advanced Spine Imaging and clinical functional MRI. She has authored over 90 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous review articles and book chapters and has co-authored diagnostic and interventional spine textbooks, including Specialty Imaging: Pain Management Essentials of Image-guided Procedures and Specialty Imaging: Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In addition to reviewing for several journals, she is an ACR Neuroradiology panel chair and is vice chair of the ACR Practice Parameter guidelines.

Dr. Shah has presented at numerous national and international radiology, neuroradiology, and multi-disciplinary society meetings, including several invited talks at the American Society of Spine Radiology symposiums (2011-2021). She has served as co-Chair of the ASSR Research and Education Fund Committee and has been several subsociety educational and research committees. She has also mentored trainees and junior faculty on spine topics, which have won prestigious Mentor Awards. Dr. Shah is the President and Program Chair of the ASSR (2021-2022).
