Vignesh A. Arasu, MD, PhD, is an Adjunct Investigator at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research and a practicing radiologist subspecializing in breast imaging at Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center. His research interests focus on the intersection of medical imaging, breast cancer, and artificial intelligence (AI). He is part of the KP Physician Researcher Program, where he acts as an embedded clinician researcher responsible for evaluating priority operational issues in medical imaging and breast cancer to help accelerate implementation and innovation. He is the research principal investigator for active randomized trials studying the impact of AI for breast cancer screening. He holds a Doctorate in Medicine from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). After medical school, he completed his radiology residency and fellowship at UCSF, as well a PhD in Epidemiology and Translational Science also at UCSF.
