Dr. Fields received her M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2008 and completed her radiation oncology residency training at the University of Colorado in Denver, CO in 2013. She joined the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 where she is now an Associate Professor and the Residency Program Director. She is the immediate past president of the Association for Directors of Radiation Oncology Programs (ADROP) and a leader in the Radiation Oncology Education Collaborative Study Group (ROECSG). She co-created the Introductory Radiation Oncology Curriculum (IROC) for incoming PGY-2 radiation oncology residents and has also developed a proficiency based cervical cancer brachytherapy simulation course and an image verification workshop. She is an associate editor for the gyn sections of both the Red Journal and Brachytherapy. She is on the Cervix Committee at the NRG and is actively involved with ABS, ACRO and ASTRO.
