Dr. Evans is a senior associate in perioperative anesthesia in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care & Pain Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor in Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, where her specialty is pediatric anesthesia and global anesthesia care. She is currently the Director of Programmes for the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA). Dr. Evans also serves in advisory roles for several organizations addressing global health and anesthesia care worldwide, including Lifebox’s Global Governance Council and the Medical Advisory Board for Smile Train. Dr. Evans has decades of experience leading and contributing to improving the quality and safety of anesthesia in low-resource settings through education, safety and quality initiatives, and advocacy. She has been involved in numerous efforts to build the capacity of anesthesia providers across Low- and Middle-Income Countries and is a member of the leadership team for the Pediatric Anesthesia Training in Africa (PATA) collaboration, which aims to establish new pediatric fellowships in Africa.
