Dr. Lynne Ferrari is the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Perioperative Strategy and Risk at Boston Children’s Hospital as well as The Vice Chair for the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical and Pain Medicine. Her previous positions have included the Associate Chair for Perioperative Anesthesia and Medical Director of Perioperative Services and Operating rooms at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Ferrari is the inaugural recipient of the Robert M. Smith Endowed Chair in Pediatric Anesthesia.  As a pediatrician and anesthesiologist Dr. Ferrari has focused a great deal of her professional efforts on the preoperative evaluation of children undergoing surgical and interventional procedures.  She has worked to develop the Perioperative Services at Boston Children’s Hospital to be a comprehensive continuum of pre, intra and postoperative care across the enterprise.
