Dr. Nelson graduated from Albert Einstein college of Medicine and completed her anesthesiology residency at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. After working as a general anesthesiologist at Tufts Medical Center, she completed her Pediatric Anesthesia fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she is the Director of Fetal Anesthesia, a member of the craniofacial team, on the hospital's Transfusion Committee, and a member of the Transfusion Medicine Research Training Program. She is an Assistant Professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
