Dear Colleagues,

Aloha! Welcome to a world class resort and beach to relax, learn with national and international speakers and make new friends. The California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA) Education Programs Division and all our speakers are delighted that you have made a great decision to join us at the incredible Four Seasons Ko’Olina on the beautiful island of Oahu for the CSA Summer Anesthesia Conference July 15-19, 2024.

Our mission is to help you succeed via innovation and professional collaboration through education. Our educational program will expand your skills and knowledge to help you confront the challenges related to the growing complexity of our patients and specialty.

We emphasize interdisciplinary learning and multi-specialty collaborative care with a scientific approach. Our program will not only provide essential tools needed to deliver high quality patient care but will also help you shape anesthesia care for the future.

This year’s program has been developed from surveying prior attendees and expert consensus. We offer world class speakers from premier institutions and varied clinical practices proving evidence-based high-level presentations with practical take-home points. The program covers a wide range of subspecialty areas including regional, pediatric, obstetric anesthesia, critical care, ambulatory and NORA as well as complex systems and AI in your OR! In addition, the speakers cover the latest ASA guidelines on Difficult Airway, and ASA statements on GLP-1 Agonists, Pain During Cesarean and Reducing Disparities in Maternal Mortality.

The conference offers 25 hours of CME in a perfect balance between education and leisure time. The sessions are held in the mornings, leaving the afternoons free for exploration, or lounging by the beach or pool.

The Four Seasons Ko’Olina, one of the best world-renowned exclusive resorts on Oahu, provides easy access to excellent beach and ocean activities, world-renowned golf courses, and exciting shopping, dining, and entertainment. Oahu Island is filled with many wonders: experience the scenery by helicopter flight, ziplining or a drive toward the North shore to visit movie sets and plantations. July weather typically ranges from 75 to 80°F, perfect for exploring the beautiful tropical surroundings. If you are bringing your children, we are located adjacent to Disney’s Aulani Resort and offer a room block there as well.

I look forward to seeing you and learning together at the Four Seasons Ko’Olina for an extremely rewarding educational experience combined with an incredible Hawaiian escape.

Mahalo,

Mark Zakowski MD FASA
