Dr. Tung is professor of Anesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Chicago. He practices cardiac anesthesia and critical care, and currently serves as Quality Chief and Section chief of Critical Care for his department. He is a former president of the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists, has served on SCCM and ASA guideline task forces including sedation & delirium, central venous access and difficult airway management, and has been the Critical Care section editor for Anesthesia & Analgesia since 2014. He is a co-editor of the "Pocket ICU", 3rd edition
