Dr. Vanessa Henke is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard-M.I.T. Division of Health Sciences and Technology MD program. She completed internal medicine internship at Yale University, anesthesiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine at Stanford Hospital and Clinics and fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. 

Dr. Henke is a District Director for the California Society of Anesthesiologists and serves as an editor for the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia. Since 2015, Dr. Henke has practiced at the University of California, San Francisco where she is a Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology. Dr. Henke is active in medical student and graduate medical education and several committees. In 2022 she was part of the California delegation to the ASA House of Delegates.
