Dr. Paul Yost received his Medical Doctorate degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed two residencies: Pediatrics at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida, and Anesthesiology at UCLA, Westwood, California. He currently practices adult and pediatric cardiac anesthesiology at St. Joseph's Hospital of Orange, Children's Hospital of Orange County and he does locums anesthesia at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center and Dominican Hospital of Santa Cruz. He is a past president of the medical staff at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, a past president of the California Society of Anesthesiologists, and he is the past President of the Orange County Medical Association, and he is a past mayor of the city of Seal Beach. Dr. Yost is also the past chair of CalOptima which oversees all Medicaid funding and care for Orange County.  Paul Yost MD FASA is the current ASA Director for California as well as the chair of the ASAPAC Board of Directors.  His interests include medical mission work, politics, tennis, kitesurfing, and surfing.
