Dr. Michael Champeau is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of California at Los Angeles, and, subsequently, a residency in Anesthesiology at Stanford University. Board-certified in both Pediatrics and Anesthesiology, Dr. Champeau is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Champeau is a Past President of the California Society of Anesthesiologists and currently serves as the President of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He is also a recipient of the California Society of Anesthesiologists’ Distinguished Service Award.
Having practiced in both the academic and community environments, Dr. Champeau is a past President of the Medical Staff at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford and a recipient of the hospital’s Distinguished Medical Staff Service Award. He has also served as President of the Associated Anesthesiologists Medical Group in Palo Alto, California for the past 15 years.
Dr. Champeau is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University.
