Dr. Hernandez Conte is the Immediate Past-President of CSA. He is a Clinical Professor at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, and Partner with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. Dr. Hernandez Conte's interests include addressing health care disparities in Latino and LGBTQ+ communities and his research focuses on the perioperative impact of HIV, as well as Enhanced Recovery After Cardiac Surgery and quality measures. Dr. Hernandez Conte sits on numerous CSA and ASA committees. In his free time, Dr. Hernandez Conte enjoys spending time with his partner, Trent Kiziah, traveling, and competitive figure skating.
