General Information

MISSION STATEMENT: The California Society of Anesthesiologists is a physician organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards of the profession of anesthesiology, fostering excellence through continuing medical education, and advocating for anesthesiologists and their patients. 

STATEMENT OF EDUCATIONAL NEED: Anesthesiology is a dynamic specialty with significant changes expected on several fronts in the years to come, including new clinical technologies and practices, regulatory changes, business process changes, and overall changes in the health care environment. In addition to covering the latest clinical information, this program seeks to prepare participants for emerging and anticipated changes in the practice of anesthesiology.

The California Society of Anesthesiologists requires all planners, faculty, and any persons in a position to control content for this educational activity to identify all financial relationships with any ineligible company, as defined by ACCME, to determine relevant conflicts of interest. Disclosures of these relevant financial relationships will be published in activity materials and distributed to all registered attendees. All relevant financial disclosures will be mitigated.

ACCREDITATION AND CREDIT DESIGNATION
The California Society of Anesthesiologists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education to physicians. The California Society of Anesthesiologists designates this live activity for a maximum of 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION IN ANESTHESIOLOGY PROGRAM (MOCA)
Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® and MOCA® are registered certification marks of The American Board of Anesthesiology®. This activity contributes to the patient safety CME requirement for the CME component of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s (ABA) redesigned Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology® (MOCA®) program, known as MOCA 2.0®.

Please consult the ABA website, www.theABA.org, for a list of all MOCA 2.0 requirements. This activity is certified for 12.5 MOCA units.
